It would be unfair to decide a few best among the 3 million podcasts available on Spotify, and one just can’t do the justice. However, among the few I have actually listened to in my personal experience, here are some of the best podcasts on Spotify that have so far caught my attention and got me hooked to them. So, these are just based on my own experience and not the ultimate best ones.

Serial 

The first on my list of the best podcasts on Spotify in 2024 is “Serial”. The podcast is about investigative journalism. The first season was about a murder where the boyfriend of the murdered “Adnan Syed” was convicted. The podcast then revolved around case examination, interviews and much more. The podcast became the buzz of the town and sparked debate about the criminal justice system.

Reply All

The 2nd on my list of Best Spotify Podcasts is “Reply All”. Here’s why I enjoyed the podcast “Reply All”: This American podcast was about the interplay between people and the internet. 

The podcast also faced criticism, yet received awards.  The podcast’s unique storytelling and insightful exploration of internet culture made it a standout. The final episode aired on June 23, 2022.

The Joe Rogan Experience 

The third on my list of best podcasts on Spotify is “Joe Rogan Experience”. “The Joe Rogan Experience” is a popular podcast hosted by American comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan. Launched on December 24, 2009, it features a wide array of guests, from business elites like Elon Musk to politicians like Bernie Sanders and scientists like Neil deGrasse Tyson. Initially co-hosted by Brian Redban and later produced by Jamie Vernon, the podcast quickly rose to prominence, regularly attracting millions of views per episode.

Another one on the list of best podcasts on Spotify is “60 Songs That Explain the ’90s” which is a podcast that takes a close look at the music of the 1990s. Armchair expert

“Armchair Expert” is a weekly podcast hosted by American actors Dax Shepard and Monica Padman. Another from my list of best podcasts on Spotify is “Call her daddy”. This podcast, as the name implies, is based on comedy and advice. The podcast gained popularity when Cooper signed an exclusive deal with Spotify valued at $60 Million. However, prior to this, the show encountered turbulence in the spring of 2020 when Cooper and Franklin engaged in a publicized dispute with Barstool founder David Portnoy. This dispute led to Franklyn’s departure from the podcast, leaving Cooper to host the show independently after reaching an agreement with Barstool.

No such thing as a fish

“No Such Thing as a Fish” is another podcast from my list of best podcasts on Spotify in 2024.  This Podcast featured all the researchers behind the TV show “QI – Quite interesting”. So, it covered all the fascinating and bizarre facts about what went around during their research. The podcast covered different unusual topics that made this podcast really informative and interesting.
